Course description
This intensive and highly practical eight-week course will focus on advancing and shaping your novel-in-progress, whether from first to second draft or from a later stage towards completion. You’ll explore ways to take your novel forward by revisiting the building blocks of fiction writing, examining story, plot and pace, interrogating your characters and polishing your style. By studying examples of professional edits and through feedback from your fellow group members and the course tutor, assigned tasks and curated reading, you’ll leave with a toolbox of practical steps, ideas and inspiration for getting your manuscript into its ideal shape.
