On this highly stimulating eight-week course you will undertake close readings of the work of a wide range of poets, drawing inspiration from their poetry for your own practice. In particular, the course will focus on some of the most vital work published in the last decade, and the exciting field of poetry in translation, as well as featuring weekly writing prompts to fire your creativity. You will workshop your own work twice a term, receiving supportive, constructive feedback from both your fellow group members and the course tutor. The course is suitable for poets of all levels of experience, and no previous knowledge, or poetry writing practice, is required. Please note that each workshop lasts for ninety minutes - the additional five minutes shown on the session times are to ensure we're all ready to start on time. Additionally, due to an unavoidable commitment, the course tutor will not be available on 13th March, and that day's session is therefore currently being rescheduled to either Tuesday 15th March or Tuesday 2nd April. We'll confirm the new date as soon as possible, but in the meantime, if you aren't available on either of those alternative dates, please check with us before booking!
We'll be happy to refund fees in the event you change your mind, as long as you let us know up to seven days before your first workshop.
